2010 CADILLAC HYBRID   TECHNOLOGY AND ECOLOGY CONVERGE

The Escalade-Hybrid features a two-mode hybrid engine that supplements GM's venerable 6.0-liter V-8 with power from two electric motors. At low speeds, the vehicle can run on batteries only, the engine only, or a combination of both. At higher speeds the electric motors engage in conjunction with the cylinder deactivation system, for more efficient operation. GM cites a significant drop in harmful emissions, and fuel economy is boosted by up to 25 percent. The Escalade Hybrid also features custom fascia, signature grille and bumper.
